Step by step process to gain admission to a prestigious university anywhere in the world!

If you are a high school graduate, but do not have your "A" levels, a prerequisite for many

universities, or, if you are not a high school graduate yet, but would like to graduate with a

diploma that enables you to apply to ANY university in the world, CICC is the right choice

  for you.

We prepare students in 8-12 months for university entry, provided the student is at least at the

grade 12 level and has an advanced command of the English language. If you are at at least at

a grade 10 education level and/or you are a beginner in English, it could take up to two years

  to be ready for university.

Steps you must take to achieve the above:

If you are a high school student or a high school graduate, you are eligible to apply.

If you speak no English, or just very little, please apply for our Intensive ESL program. (As

you progress with English, you will be able to combine academic subjects, such as Math,

Computer Science and Accounting, with your English as a Second Language classes.)

If you understand and speak English quite well, but still need to learn grammar &

vocabulary, ( 450- 550 TOEFL) you will need to take some ESL classes, but can already

    apply for our academic programs.

If you completed high school in you home country you can apply for the grade12 level.

If you have one year left to get your high school diploma, you can apply for the grade 12

    level.

If you have two years left until high school graduation, you should apply for the grade

    11/grade 12 level.

If you are under 15, please contact our guidance counsellor for program choices before you

    apply.

Request an application form from us and return it with the application fee and tuition

fee. At this point it is not necessary to mail us school transcripts.

Or:  Contact one of our Representatives in your country.

If your high school report cards are not in English, you must have them translated and have at

least one certified copy. You will have to bring this with you when you come to Canada.

If your first language is not English, but you attended a school where English was the language

of instruction for all subjects, you should obtain a letter stating this from your school and bring

  it with you.

If you have a TOEFL result or any other letters or certificates that you feel could be useful for

  us, bring it with you.

If you are under 18, the Ministry of Health of Ontario will ask for your immunization records

from birth. It is imperative that you have a translated copy of this document, and hand it in

with your other documents once you arrive.

If you have questions, contact us while you wait.

You received your student visa, congratulations!

You can now make your travel plans!

Inform us if you do not have relatives in Canada who may pick you up and make living

arrangements for you. Cambridge International College can make homestay arrangements for

you, if you specify well in advance whether you would like to stay with a family that would

provide you with 3 meals a day, or, you prefer to rent a room only, and cook for yourself.  If

you decided that Cambridge International College take care of your accommodation, we

ensure that the host family will pick you up at the airport when you arrive. It is, of course, very

important to have your flight details emailed or faxed to us at least a week before your arrival.

If you arrive close enough before one of our official entry points in September, January or

April, you will register with many other new and returning students the same day. You can

find these dates on our calendar. However , if you arrive at any other time, between terms,

we can still register you and you can start classes.

The registration process is the following:

You have to write two placement tests, a math and an ESL test.

You will choose your subjects with the help of a student advisor, based on your placement

tests, your goals and your grade level.

You will get a lock for a locker you choose, and a student card. If you are under 18 you are

also eligible for student fares for transportation. You can pick up a Toronto Transit

  application form at registration.

You must also arrange your health insurance. CICC can help you arrange this as well, but you

definitely have to have yourself covered. If for any reason you fall ill, it can be many times

more costly than paying the 50/month for health insurance.

Now you are ready to start your classes. Make sure you always arrive on time, do not skip

classes, and you will be fine. Our teachers are very helpful and approachable.

There is a full time guidance counsellor at CICC, who will help you with your university or

college application process, from beginning to end.

At the graduation lunch at the end of each term, we celebrate our graduating students, all of

whom usually get accepted to more than one prestigious universities, many of them with

  scholarships.
