Accommodation, Arrangements & HomeStay Program

  Our quiet, residential location in Toronto features our very own rental residence, in addition to 

  many local families who provide accommodation for our students.

This is our HomeStay Program.

  As a general rule, you can expect a small room with a bed, bed linen, desk, chair and wardrobe. 

  You can have your own telephone line installed (at your expense, approx. $60CAN). 

  If the arrangements for accommodation are made for room only, you will have the use of a

  small   kitchen and, typically, a shared bathroom with 1 or two other students.

  The price of a  room for one month is $450.

  If the arrangements are made for room & board, you will get 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch

  and dinner. The price for room and board for one  month is $750. Home Stay "Moms" will try 

  to accommodate certain special needs or requirements.

ACCOMMODATION RULES WITH HOMESTAY FAMILIES

  It is important to understand the rules of the house as early as possible. These are very  

  common sense rules, but as soon as you finalize your accommodation with a family, you need

   to find out the following:

  ROOM & BOARD: CDN$ 750.00 per month: includes 3 meals per day, 7 days a week.

  ROOM ONLY: CDN$ 450.00 per month, students do their own cooking.  Furnished.

      Laundry facilities may be extra.

  The above rental charges may vary depending on the size of the room.  Students must give

      the host family 1-2 month's notice before leaving at the end of the school term.

  Some host families require the first and last month's rent to be paid upon arrival.

  It's compulsory that the student stays for a MINIMUM of one term, with the host family.  
      The HomeStay family will pick up the student from the airport and take him/her to their home.

  Complete flight information must be sent to CICC and the host family at least one week in

      advance; this will ensure airport pick-up.

  SMOKING is not allowed in homes.  Students must follow the HomeStay rules and

      restrictions.

  Students will be living in a home with other family members and must be respectful at all

      times.
